6/21/08…it is done!
(Thanks to GatorGirl for her pics. I don’t have any official pictures yet.)
Since my alias is really just a phonetic spelling of my government name, I am technically not Keyalus anymore but who wants to deal with the hassle of changing all of that? The wedding went down this weekend and it was lovely. A few things went wrong but the most important thing went right and I am now married to the love of my life. I couldn’t be happier.
We’ve been living together for about 6 months now and I didn’t think going through the actual ceremony would make a dramatic difference. It really does though! Everything is the same, but it is different too if that makes any sense. I take vows said before God seriously and now the legal part is in place too. Things are different. They just are.
Despite all the excitement and good feelings I am sooo glad that it is over! I almost have my life back now and what a relief! I got up this morning and was thrilled to do a workout. It has been about a week since I exercised and my body was so excited to be used for good works. I went to the grocery store last night and was happy to buy cottage cheese of all things. I packed my cooler this morning with a smile on my face. There is just something to be said for routine and regularity – neither of which I have had the past week.
I plan to spend the next few days “detoxing” before I plot my next strategy. I spent three days before the wedding trying to do Atkins induction (or as close as I could get to it) to shake things up and boy that was a miserable three days! No more crazy diet tricks for me. My detox this week is just going to be getting back into the swing of things with my regular style of eating. I need to drain all of this extra sodium from my body so that I can figure out what I am really dealing with and attack with a vengeance!

You guys are SUCH a lovely couple! CONGRATS and I hope your life remains beautiful!
Monica Mingo
Thanks Monica! I read your blog all the time and I hope that we keep our relationship as tight and as fun as you and Robbie do!
Congratulations on your wedding. You make a very beautiful couple!
I feel like I was there. Seeing the photos and reading the updates on Bab’s blog too!
Look at you! ON a mission to get back into the routine already.
I LOVE THAT!
Enjoy married life!
Question: Does your husband share your same passion for working out
and eating right?
Thanks Tanyetta! I *wish* he made as much effort as I did with diet and exercise. I have nagged him to no end about joining me in the November marathon. You can’t tell a former short distance track star anything though LOL. Lucky for him he is blessed in the genetics department. He can eat whatever he wants and exercise when the mood hits and stay in great shape. I can’t stand it LOL. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that our children will inherit his genes instead of mine in that department.
Dang! I was allowed to post pics of the Mister? I thought we were keeping his identity a secret! You should have seen me strugging to find pics of just you to post.
I shall post more pics tonight (if I have time)!
Glad you are back and you can get into your crazy fitness/eating routine. I’m still not down with the cottage cheese. That just sounds nasty. Cheese from a cottage? Do you only eat it in a cottage? Blech.
The mister doesn’t mind at all. He remains anon (or Mr. Keyalus rather LOL) anyway. I dunno why it is called cottage cheese but with fresh strawberries and some Polaner All-Fruit it is gooood and packed with protein so you won’t get full too soon.
Stopping by to offer congratulations to you and your new hubby. Be blessed!!!
