- It is very humbling to go from being the fastest or close to the fastest girl in most of my CrossFit workouts to being the slowest girl. Well, at least I have something to work towards.
- I was so sore from Friday’s workout I couldn’t move my arms until Sunday. This morning’s workout included kettlebell swings (35 lbs baby!) and I suspect I will be just as sore.
- I went to see “In The Heights” with Babs on Sunday. It was so good! The music had me bouncing in my seat. It was like a Latino version of “Rent” in that it followed an eclectic group of friends in one particular New York neighborhood. It was nice to see a musical with a different point of view. I absolutely loved how seamlessly rap was incorporated in the songs with the narrator Usnavi.
- I didn’t cry at this musical like I did at “Once on This Island”. HaHa Babs! I was kind of moved at the end though.
- I ordered the soundtrack from Amazon and I can’t wait to get it. I also picked up the soundtrack to “Passing Strange” even though I’ve never seen it.
- Wicked is coming to Richmond in March and I just might have to time my trip home to see it for the third time. I can never get enough of that musical.
- Tonight’s episode of Glee features the song “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. I love that song and I can’t wait to see their take on it.
- Lewis has started to sleep for a 6 hour stretch every night. I can’t wait until he sleeps 8-10 hours but I’ll take this!
- I can’t believe my baby is 2 months old! He smiles at me now, on purpose. He did it last night after I nursed him and it made my heart melt. He is going to have me wrapped around his little finger. I’ll have to make The Mister be the “bad cop” parent because I’m going to be no good.
- Blue Diamond Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Almonds are soo good! I like them plain but I like them better hidden in Activia Light Yogurt with a little Kashi Go Lean for crunch.
- I really really miss pole dancing! I will be returning to lessons once I lose some more weight and the baby has a routine down.
- I am so behind on movies. I don’t know when I will feel comfortable taking the baby. I just don’t want to be THAT person in the theater – the one with the crying or even cooing kid.
- I’m at work and I need to pump. There is a man working in the ceiling though and he has one tile lifted up 1/8 of the way. He can totally see in here if he looks. I’m too paranoid to pump now and I’m off schedule. Grrr!

Cute post! So glad things are going well for you. Can’t believe your darling baby boy is 2 months old already.
Can you believe it’s been a year since you ran in the Richmond Marathon? I have friends coming up from Raleigh, NC who are going to run. I am cheering them on.
Thanks for the heads up on “Wicked.” I saw it advertised. I think I will have to see it when it comes to town.
Take care and happy sleep!
I can’t believe it has only been a year. I can’t even run 5K right now and I really ran 26.2 a year ago? I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t have pictures LOL.
Wicked is my all-time favorite musical…saw it in NYC with my hubs. I’d see it again in a heartbeat.
There is nothing sweeter than a baby’s first authentic smile! I’m so happy for you! …and congrats on the sleep!
Did you see it with Indina and Kristin as the leads? If so, lucky lucky you!
