One More Try

I was catching up on The Biggest Loser last night and it was the marathon episode.  I think I want to do it again. I kept thinking about how crappy I felt about my last marathon run.  I should have crossed the finish line proud but I crossed nearly in angry tears because my time was so off due to the unexpectedly hot weather.  I’m still a little bitter.  I can admit it.

I have no idea how I will manage 4 months of grueling training but ING Georgia in 2011 is sounding really good right now.  At least this time it won’t be 70 degrees outside during the race!  I’m going to do a couple of half-marathons this fall to see how I feel.  If I feel OK about that distance, marathon training starts in Nov/Dec.  I wish I had a training partner that lived close to me!

    You should do it!

Hmmmm…maybe I should do the half marathon next Spring. I would love to train properly and beat my time from (when was that again) 2008. Running is the only thing that helped my weight loss back in the day.

You should do it too! Foxy will be 6 months old…old enough to train with her in a stroller. Although maybe not during the winter time.

I hate that I have no desire at all to do a marathon because I would certainly love to train with you! You are so committed. But…you will find someone. Doesn’t sparkpeople match people in your area for support and training?

It is a big commitment, and definitely not something to do done all willy-nilly. It will be difficult for me to have a training partner. I think the only way this will work is if I do runs in my neighborhood. Things are just too unpredictable with the baby.

  3. If I still lived in ATL I would so be your training partner! Maybe I can convince hubby to move back :-)

Or you can train from afar and join me for ING in March!
