The people who manage their weight the best are not those who crave foods less often but those who give in some of the time.

I absolutely love this quote (and that magazine) because it is real. Lord knows I *love* food! Ask my family, ask Babs, ask anybody! My family, who has seen the changes in my body and fitness regimen over the past few years is only sure that I’m “OK” because I happily partake in all of the home cooked goodness they share when I come home. They have been reassured that I really do eat so they don’t trip out about the changes in my lifestyle.
I’ve never been (and probably will never be) one of those people who can say they honestly don’t like sweets or they prefer broccoli to french fries. I may choose broccoli 90% of the time but that doesn’t mean my eyes don’t linger when I drive past McDonald’s with the window open and smell the fries cooking. The good thing is that I have opened myself up to some healthier options and realized that they can be good too. I have honestly craved cottage cheese with fresh strawberries and strawberry jam before. However, if someone put it next to a piece of this…well I did say I chose right 90% of the time right? LOL!

could not have said it better! I do indulge/give in from time to time but in moderation.
I love your blog, so I have nominated you for the “I Love your Blog” award! Check my blog for more details
this is totally my philosophy – 90/10. Or maybe 85/15. I’ll eat salad and lean meat and fat free salad dressing, but I must have triple chocolate cake or caramel-drenched berries when I go out. We can’t be “perfect” all the time!
